Is the Compressor Unregular?

The power still goes to the thing, but it's not going to the compressor. The only thing i could think of that has changed is my freezer is older now than it was. And again, seeing other people on line with the same problem, also with old versions, like the exact model number. So they bought it many years ago, had many years of normal service, and then five, six, seven years into the life of the appliance, starts doing this, right? That makes me think it is not, we don't all have wiring that suddenly our wiring is fine, but when we plugged a freezer in and waited five years, suddenlyour wiring is bad.
