Is There Something More Satisfying About Recognition?

The prevailing interpretation of Hegel today is as a philosopher whose political project is one of mutual recognition. And I think that's symptomatic of a larger whole political movement of how do we, I need to be recognized this person? It fails to see in which the way in which it has to be some big other that's doing the recognizing, and thus completely alienating you. So there's never, so no recognition ever gets it right, but because there's nothing to get right.
