The Treaty of Indian Springs
Treaty of indian springs allowed for a land exchange, basically saying the united states if theif the creeks agree to cede sovereignty over most of their territory. Lower creeks ratified this treaty, but the upper creeks rejected it. And afterwards, the john quincy adams administration re negotiated a new set of agreements. They agreed to make much larger payouts to the lower creeks in return for them emigrating to the west and ceding their territory. The locha poka were even more resistant. They rebelled, tried to stop this forced removal, but they were pretty effectively crushed by us. Militias backed by federal authorities
