The Future Is Not Mine

i think there's an inextricable connection between the future and the past. I don't think someone can be an optimist without paying reverence to those that came before us. And research has been done on this, that kids who have a sense of where they came from actually do well in life. They feel like they have something to uphold. It's not about them, it's about those who came before them.
