Using XML HTTP Requests for Ajax Clients
The state of local HTML elements is not preserved between navigation. So you couldn't have multiple, like, imagine if every time you like a tweet, you get a full page reframe. And so for this reason, we transitioned to progressively enhanced multi-page apps. The idea here was now we want to write some code on the client. Nothing changes on the server, or nothing to remove from the server.
