Watchiston, a Young Man, Was Arrested for the Murder of Arceli
Arceli McCallum's body was found in January of 2008. The accused killer, 22-year-old John Watchiston, had been out on bail for an assault charge. Court documents revealed Watchiston's mother was murdered in Regina when he was in grade nine. Arceli's family expressed relief and gratitude to police that Watchiston was in custody.
