The Confessions of Augustine

Augustine's Confessions is the story of an intellectual and spiritual journey. Augustine transitioned through several different ideologies prior to converting to Christianity at the age of 31 in the year 386. Every ideology that Augustine entertained, and really most of the popular ideologies of the fourth century, had something in common. Horizontal dualism begins to appear in Mediterranean texts from the five hundreds onward.
