The world is a troubled place right now and that's not showing any signs of improving anytime soon. We're using gold as an insurance against the market being wrong in their belief that central banks will be successful in getting inflation down to levels where they are currently looking for it to go. The geopolitical situation is also potentially one of the reason why we we have this wide gap between where gold is and where really else are.
