Do You Believe in One Concoction Theory?

A study found that people who believe in one conspiracy theory are more likely to believe in others, even when those theories directly contradict each other. So for instance, the more your participants believe that Princess Diana faked her own death, the more they also believe that she was murdered. We thought people would not entertain these two conspiracy theories at the same time, but it turned out that they did. But once we also took into account the extent to which they believed that there was just something up, then that relationship actually disappeared.
