Sandy Darity is an economist at Duke, a professor of public policy and African-American studies. He's also the director of the Samuel DeBois Cook Center on social equity. An important part of his upcoming book will be a proposed program of reparations for African-Americans whose ancestors were enslaved in the U.S. The money could include funds to support higher education or start up their own business.
