Perrin: Beyond three locations is when things start to get a little bit challenging as a single owner. In the first seven years that I had my group, I built six practices, and I was the singular bottleneck in the practices. So my organizational chart looked like a pom-pom. Somebody had direct access to me, and the business has suffered because of that.
