The New Image Is the Goal
I think at the base level, I would say that the image cannot be lost. And so Jesus, the reason why we try to conform to Christ is because Christ lives congruently with his identity as God's image. He's not working against it or in rebellion to that identity. So he shows us what it should look like to live as God's Image. And therefore all the accompanying glory is there. But I think there may also be a new creation dimension to it that there's a 2.0 coming. There'll be something we'll still be able to eat, but there'll be something. How will we build walls?
