The Apple watch was an odd product in many ways. The tech world, which had become used to being the target audience of apples press events kind of found itself nudged aside in favor. It cut rubed some folks in the text sphere the wrong way and it didn't mesh perfectly well. That being said, it would eventually become a monumental commercial success over time.
