I was struck by how often you used the word insane in talking about AI researchers. And I'm wondering if it's possible that there's some concept that is contagious and sticky and pervasive in AI thinking, perhaps consciousness,. That makes it very hard to think sanely. When we ask AI researchers today, it's like asking a medieval theologian about science.
