The Long Rest of the Ship

Before the sun rises, the ship is noticeably rocking heavily. The sound of waves impacting on the side of the ship becomes an arrhythmic drum. Occasionally you hear the distant rumble of lightning,. You catch the phrase, the storm is moving north. We're going to get there sooner. All lands on deck! With that, you hear the wind picking up. This is right when we wake up. But as you begin to glance out to inspect, indeed, the dark storm clouds above have taken the entire horizon around you. There's a faint bit of light, like the sunrise itself is trying to creep through the storm - but the rain is too strong.
