The Son of Perdition
LZ: Had Judas missed the boat these last three years? He focused on power at the expense of principle and personality. LZ: It does not seem that Judas qualifies as a son of Perdition, as someone lost certainly but not like the lost one himself. In section 76 of the Doctrine and Covenants, it says they don't just deny, they defy. We're going to see Peter deny later today. And we see Judas betray. But does he defy Jesus? No, once he realizes that crucifiction is what awaits Jesus, he wishes there are a way to stop the first one,. Not repeat it a second or infinite number of times.
