Is There a Male Loneliness in Our Society?
Psychologist Robert garfield says american boys are brought up to believe that successful men exhibit particular traits like restraint and independence. He also reckons that other society changes are both exasperating and high lighting the problem of male loneliness. Research has linked loneliness among all groups to poor health, even early death. It seems that loneliness can make men angry and violent. And young men also commit suicide at much higher rates than young women.
