Gwyneth Paltrow: I wrote a novel in 2009 which i'm kind of embarrassed about but nevertheless when it came out near energy got in touch with me and said i want to make a film with it. She says she felt incredibly sad that an artist of that caliber is not getting people to back him. But at the same time there are many more people with money now, audiences have much more buying power so even a niche audience can actually make something profitable. What's happened to the middle class since the 1990s has made a huge difference for Indian cinema.
