The Battle of Eley

King William of England was in a precarious position. He couldn't overcome the Danes by force, so he tried to buy peace with Harroward. But some members of his council hated Harroward for raiding their new lands. They told him that if he sought peace with the rebels, everyone would laugh at him and no one would be afraid of him. The meeting dissolved into a shouting match.
