Dropping Anchor
Drop anchor is an umbrella term for dozens, if not hundreds of different mindfulness exercises that are all based on a simple three part formula. This is probably the easiest mindfulness exercise for anybody to do, anybody to learn, anybody to apply. And it's important because this is a very safe exercise for people who suffer from trauma. There's a lot of mindfulness practices that are potentially dangerous for people with acute trauma. So we needed to make sure that this kind of practice, given that most people in refugee camps have multiple traumas, was safe and effective.
