The Unsettling Nature of a Powerful Man

John the Baptist was growing in power, and King Herod wasn't happy about that. He called him out on the adultery. So at a birthday party for his wife's daughter he finally has his chance to do it. And so you see just the opulence, the abundance, the king in his kingdom. It's all about him. But now he's being caught up in drunken enthusiasm. That sobered up the king very fast, but unwilling to lose his face with his guests, he ordered the beheading of John the Baptist.
