The Right of Spring by Stravinsky

The first piece of classical music I have a memory of liking is the right of spring, and it's because of this section. The convulsive element of this was not something that had ever been explored in music before. No composer has been able to combine violence and elegance in such a way. Stravinsky actually originally wrote a much faster tempo for this dance but brought it down when he realized no one could play it at that tempo.
