The Bridegroom Adventists

Advocates of this school hold that this event happened on October 22nd so that the heavenly door of salvation was now shut. They based this view on Jesus' parable of the wise and foolish virgins in Matthew 25. Between 1844 and 1852 there was a debate about who might be an exception to the doctrine. Ellen white was at the forefront in opposing the bridegroom spiritualizers.
