There's a lot of power in incumbency. Once you're inha, there are some very institutional privileges including frank to mail. And any time you're a challenger to a sitting politician, you come from the under dog place. It's a very complex thing, but certainly we see that there is a big age discrepancy in terms of who sits in the highest positions of power and where the average american is in their list.
Dianne Feinstein’s colleagues are concerned the 88-year-old senator is struggling with memory loss, reports Tal Kopan of the San Francisco Chronicle. It’s raising concerns about Feinstein’s ability to do her job and the aging of America's politicians.
