We Can't See the World, but We Still See the World

I am trying to steer a course between two opposing views that are over simple and well basically wrong. One is that we don't really have access to any kind of reality. All we have is a dashboard on which there are images or readings of a world. And we are effectively blind. We are inside a sealed cabinet inside our skull. As to what the world out there is like we have no idea. It is true that we can see the world only personally, but we still see the world directly. There is not a wall between us and the world. Our experience is of whatever it is and not another thing. I'm afraid many discussions about consciousness will collapse into an objectivist view
