How to Handle Peer Relationships
"I think that figuring out how to handle peer relationships feels especially intense in the middle school years," she says. "We have to remember that all kids are dealing with a lot, especially on the heels of the pandemic and just all of the uncertainty and churn in the world." It's also really hard for them to pick a step back and tell that friend that they need a little space or that they need to go to sleep because all they're ever told is that they should be good and they should be kind.
