Women are more sensitive to threats both physical and social so women are more responsive to cues in their body. One huge component of their mate value is their sexual history which men tend to show a preference for sexually chastity at least in their long-term partners. Women have more nightmares they have more fears they have more phobias because you're basically just vigilant to any threat that could harm your well-being but yes as you're saying you know the social vulnerability that is particularly strong and there's really nothing you can do to counteract it if someone were to call you promiscuous.
