The Republican debt limit proposal, the McCarthy bill, 100% breaks the Grover Norquist no new taxes pledge. If you get higher revenues from getting rid of tax deductions and credits, you have to apply that revenue to a rate cut to offset it. And if you're doing a net revenue increase fromgetting rid of credits and deductions, that's a pledge violation.
