How Do We Confront These More Difficult Things?

Father Jacob Bertrand: With these meditations we consider our spiritual lives from the side of the world, the flesh, and the devil. There are evil forces arranged against us that would drag us into hell if they had their way. But I think here of an encouragement of St. Catherine of Siena who says that we should not think of our sins apart from the mercy of God. So too we shouldn't think about those powers and principalities that are arranged against us except we think about God who is far more powerful than them.
