The first person to have ever been charged with leaking under the Espionage Act was a Reagan era department of defense analyst named Samuel Morrison. He took classified photos that he got there these classified photos taken by a KH 11 spy satellite. The New York Times and Washington Post got wind of it and they started running these photos. And then Morrison's boss and the DoD in Navy intelligence saw it and thought, This is one of the 15 guys that worked for me because this is the only people that would see this. They brought in the FBI. It's known as the first successful conviction of a government leaker to be convicted under the Esp espionage Act.
