The fascination with true crime predates social mediad and murder sleuthing that we saw in sort of this unprecedented way in the case of gabriel petito. It seems like the sleuthing itself has come under the magn in glass here, and people are examining whether it's a good thing or a bad thing. In the very worst case scenarios, yes, this can back horribly. But we're talking about a community that has been around for a while. And i think a lot of that has to do with not wanting to become a murderer or a murdere ou no.
