What's So Special About Telescopes?
James webb is a new telescope that will study light from galaxies almost as old as the universe itself. It's also wonderfully designed to do things like study the atmospheres of distant planets around other stars, in the hopes of possibly even seeing signs of life on those planets. i'm actually really excited for an era where webb and hubble will both be observing at the same time. So by being a larger telescope and by focusing on a different sort of type of light, really gives us a totally new way to answer a lot of questions about how the universe began. Are we alone?
