Tv news was at its peak, and then its seen of decline. It's completely captured as a uno political popularity contest,. And also captured by special interests. So we cannot understand the decline of t v news without understanding the revenue model of television. Television costs too much to run. Because of this, it has stopped spending money on reporting. There have been mass lay offs in many of these organize tions. The nature of the market has changed. I don't know anybody any more, other than above a certain age group that does, for example, appointment viewing any more. People just watch when they can. Mostly they watch on their phones and on their lap tops.
