How Do You Write a Novel Set in the 17th Century?
I've always thought 17th century was a very hard century. I'm always nervous about it when I make programme. My rule is never to put anything in a novel that I know for certain didn't happen. But beyond that, then I'm free to speculate. If you get someone's daily routine, you can begin to build a character. It doesn't matter if the history doesn't work out, or is there a pleasure that you get sitting at this desk thinking, I want to keep this as close as you can? Which is possible to watch you have? You love to keep things as accurate as possible.
