The Importance of Evidence in Medicine
Do you think that there is always just going to be a bit of an evidence gap? Or do you think that the numbers are really essential to what we're doing here? I'll get shot. But at its heart, medicine is about people. And I think story is just as important as the science a lot of the time when you're talking about people. We know that LGBT plus people access screening less frequently than non-LGBT plus people and therefore will have worse outcomes. There's very little evidence and papers that are done into LGBTQ surgeons and their experiences. One was based in America and says that you're more likely to talk about your attendings ie. your consultants with your colleagues
