The Complexity of Open AI

The founding purpose of open AI, at least as Elon Musk articulated it back in the day, was explicitly, he wanted AGI human level intelligence to be like proliferated in the hands of the average person. That's what I found a little bit difficult to reconcile with reality, frankly, in the way that people would use these things in practice. There is this monopolization issue and at some point in society, we're going to have to figure out how we want this game to play out.
