The way climbers learned their craft was to dip their toe into a stressful situation in the mountains and hopefully come back alive, but you know, wiser. And I think that's sort of what Steve and I brought to our concept of training with uphill athlete is, yes, you have to expose yourself to these kinds of situations in order to get comfortable with them. "I still advocate very strongly for people when they come to me or generally we do this as a business that people come to us with a goal," he says.
