Forensic science defines 12 categories. The most common type of pattern matching evidence is done analysis. When this evidence comes up in its being used, it correlates with a higher chance that it's accurate. There are so many other forms of forensic science that seem soreal to me because they're so absurd. I've got a mental image of a dog sniffing jus for good reason. It's not just the quality of the evidence that's a problem; it's the times that we use it as well.
