Do Psychopaths Lack Empathy?
When we empathize, we are literally feeling with some one. The same parts of my brain are active when i'm in pain and when i'm seeing somebody else in pain. Some nurons are firing in both situations. And that shows that i have some level of empathy. But what about psychopaths? How do their brains compare to mine? Do the same regions light up when they're in pain, when they see other people in pain? Valeria gotzola is in charge of the empathy lab, and she's run the same experiment cally put me through, but with psychopaths from prison.
