The Human Voice
It was an interesting time to be writing the book. I actually signed the book deal, i think, two days after donald trump's election. It really gave a kind of a target for me to aim at in my story of the human voice. No successful political leader has no emotion in his voice. That would never work. So it's very, very wrong to suggest that demagoguery is only emotion. But it's really the it's the mix and what you privilege one over the other.
