The Argument That Converts People to Rome

If you do not accept the authority of the Magisterium, you have no way of knowing what books are canonical and what books are not. That's the argument that Rome makes today. The same argument could have been used against Jesus in those who use the principles of Jesus in judging the traditions of the Pharisees. If we receive the sacred books through the tradition of the church, then we also ought to receive the remaining traditions in the same way.
