The economy today for a young adult has more in common with the economy of, I don't know, 1700 than the economy of 1900 or 1950. People left home back in the late 17th century, early 18th century, they left home in their late 20s. Nutrition was poor, women weren't fertile until the late teens. And no one had pregnancies out of wedlock. You really had to get married to have kids and you had to leave home to have kids.
