What Is the Body and the Devil?
Flesh is a synonym for body. When it's used for more than one body, it just means humanity. It can also mean your ethnicity or cultural identity that you were born into. Flesh refers to fallen human nature as the centre of human pride and self willing. The lexicographer w e. Vine defines it as the seat of sin in man.
