Like a good workout, the best learning should be a bit of a stretch but not impossible.
That's the principle desirable difficulty in action.
I consider it a more "advanced" principle for learning effectively, but it's a very powerful idea to understand and be able to use if you're looking to make your learning as efficient as possible.
