The job of the cosmic perspective is to convey to all of us that we are a small part of a much larger universe. I love the visual in cosmos. The great attractor doesn't affect us at all, it's just stuff moving in the universe according to the gravitational fields in which they are embedded. We are on earth moving in the gravitational field of the sun. The galaxy and Andromeda are moving within our own mutual gravitational field. And so, yeah, I haven't even been thought up yet in the universe. Yeah, not really. Oh, dear. Feeling more insignificant every day. That's my job.
