Are They Working on a Clone Soldier 2.0?

It's safe to say that those efforts are solely about Palpatine's plot to be able to create some sort of immortality by continuing to inhabit the bodies of clones. Are they working on a clone soldier 2.0? Because that would stand in contrast to what they're outwardly doing. I think personally, I think Palpatine is trying to hoard all the technology and keep all the secrets of cloning to himself. He's only concerned with his own immortality. And it's very clear that the Empire wants to phase out clone troopers. There's no question about that. They're forcing all the clones out of service. But they might be trying something new.
