A lot of the papers that come from like anti trans rhetoric and stuff are from like philosophy departments, which there's nothing wrong with. But it's like they're talking about science and scientific findings, but they're basing their own conclusions on Twitter polls and things they've read on Reddit. That's exactly what gender critical TERFs do. They're basically trying to come up with a rationale for being transphobic. And that's why it's become so mainstream, because it doesn't sound like transphobia.
