The basal nuclei is what it sounds like, a group of neurons. Sometimes this is referred to a ganglion, which is not... Could it be a misnomer? Its job basically is to control motor movement. And so you need the basal ganglia to help modulate the firing off. When to start, when to stop. In this full length episode, Dr Matt & Dr Mike discuss the brain! Walking through structures including the different lobes, cerebellum, brainstem, basal nuclei, hypothalamus, and more!
