How to Teach Linguistics

The last two times I've taught it including this one, are using David Peterson's The Art of Language Invention. It helps if they have something to refer back to that connects with the material that we learn in the classroom just so they can hear it or read it rather another way. And so I do like to use a book before that because that one was only published in 2015 or 16. Before that I was using the language construction kit, which I still tell my students is an optional resource. They don't have to get it, but I do still recommend it.
