What Is the Antithesis?
The theme of desire fulfilled connects verses 12 and 19. The foolish lottery winner can squander what they have because they do not have the principles by which such wealth is truly gained. A society that is built upon gambling and speculation may enjoy great wealth, but it will not actually be secure wealth. Those who gather little by little and build up in a responsible way have wealth that will be more enduring.
